AC Milan are reportedly close to securing a six-month loan deal for West Ham United striker Niclas Fullkrug, as the Germany international looks set to leave London Stadium in January. Fullkrug has seen his first-team opportunities limited under new manager Nuno Espirito Santo, prompting the forward and the clubs to explore a temporary move.
Negotiations between Milan and West Ham are in advanced stages, with the agreement expected to cover the remainder of the season. Reports suggest the deal could also include an option for AC Milan to make the transfer permanent, depending on the player’s performance in Serie A.
Fullkrug, 32, has struggled for consistent game time at West Ham, making only nine appearances this season and scoring three goals across 28 matches since joining the club. He transferred from Borussia Dortmund in August 2024 for a reported fee of £19 million, but injuries disrupted his first campaign, limiting his impact on the team.
The potential loan move offers Fullkrug an opportunity to revive his career in Italy and gain regular playing time, while AC Milan look to strengthen their attacking options midway through the season. West Ham, meanwhile, are likely to welcome the arrangement as a chance for the striker to regain form and confidence.
If completed, the loan would mark another step in AC Milan’s efforts to bolster their squad and remain competitive in both domestic and European competitions.
