Logistics specialist PRL Group has announced a new sponsorship agreement with Cork Everton AFC, strengthening its support for grassroots football and youth development in the region.

Under the terms of the agreement, PRL Group will become the main sponsor of Cork Everton AFC’s schoolboys football teams. The partnership also includes the installation of priority pitchside PRL advertising signage at Everton Park on home matchdays. The club’s home ground is located close to Cork Airport and serves as a key hub for local football activity.

In addition, the PRL logo will feature on the official jerseys of the club’s schoolboys and academy teams. Branding will also be integrated across Cork Everton AFC’s digital platforms, including the club’s website and social media channels, increasing PRL’s visibility within the local sporting community.

Founded in 1958, Cork Everton AFC has established itself as a community focused club with a strong emphasis on youth development. The club has built a reputation for providing young players with a supportive environment that promotes both footballing ability and personal growth. Its long term commitment to nurturing local talent has played a central role in sustaining grassroots football in Cork.

Cork Everton AFC also holds FAI Club Mark 2 status, the highest level of recognition awarded to clubs that meet strict organisational and developmental standards. Only a small number of clubs nationwide currently hold this distinction, reflecting Everton AFC’s structured approach to coaching, governance, and player welfare.

Violet Devereux, chief executive of PRL Group, said the company was delighted to begin the partnership. She highlighted the shared values between both organisations and noted similarities between success in business and success in football, including strategic planning, focus on goals, and strong teamwork. She added that the partnership would benefit both PRL Group and Cork Everton AFC over the coming seasons.

Everton AFC chairman Keith Gahan also welcomed the announcement, describing PRL Group as a company with a strong reputation for brand excellence across Ireland and a significant local presence in Cork through its Carrigtwohill facility. He said the club was grateful for PRL’s support and belief in its long term vision, and looked forward to building a successful partnership together.

The agreement represents another example of local business investment in grassroots sport, reinforcing the importance of community partnerships in supporting youth football development.
