Thomas Frank Says Spurs Are ‘Completely Aligned’ Despite Fan Pressure

Tottenham head coach Thomas Frank has insisted that the club’s leadership is “completely aligned” as he faces mounting pressure from supporters following a poor run of form in the Premier League.

Spurs were booed off after their 1–1 home draw with Sunderland on Sunday, extending a difficult spell that has seen the North London side win just two of their last 11 league games. Despite growing frustration from the fanbase, Frank praised the stability and communication behind the scenes, particularly highlighting the influence of chief executive Vinai Venkatesham.

“Vinai is one of the best communicators I’ve ever met, whether as a CEO or a leader,” Frank said. “He’s calm and takes sensible decisions – two rare abilities in football. He understands the journey we’re on.”

The contrast between Tottenham’s internal harmony and recent managerial turmoil elsewhere in the Premier League was also noted. Both Chelsea’s Enzo Maresca and Manchester United’s Ruben Amorim exited their roles recently following breakdowns in relationships with senior club figures. Frank, however, dismissed any comparisons, stating that he remains in full alignment with Spurs’ ownership and football operations.

Tottenham currently sit 13th in the Premier League ahead of Wednesday’s clash with Bournemouth. They are unbeaten in their last three matches but have not scored from open play since 6 December, underlining the ongoing challenge in attack.

Meanwhile, speculation continues around sporting director Fabio Paratici, who has been linked with a return to Italy and a potential role at Fiorentina. Frank confirmed that Paratici remains actively involved at the club.

“We’re paying his wage, he’s working very hard,” Frank added. “The last time I spoke to him? This morning.”

With pressure building from fans, Wednesday’s game at the Vitality Stadium may prove critical as Spurs aim to revive their faltering campaign.
