Swansea City are preparing for a high profile night at the Swansea.com Stadium later this month as co owner Snoop Dogg is set to attend his first ever match involving the Championship club. The global music icon will be present when Swansea host Preston North End on Tuesday 24 February, marking a long anticipated moment since his investment in the Welsh side last summer.

Snoop Dogg became a minority investor in Swansea City in July and immediately drew worldwide attention after unveiling the club’s 2025 to 26 home kit. Since then, supporters have waited to see when the American rapper would make his first appearance in the stands. That wait is now over, with the club confirming he will be pitchside for the evening fixture played under the lights.

Speaking through the club, Snoop Dogg said he has been eager to experience the atmosphere at the stadium in person since discussions around ownership began. He highlighted the reputation of Swansea’s home support and pointed to the televised derby against Wrexham in December as a moment that caught his attention, saying the noise and intensity carried even from thousands of miles away.

Swansea have confirmed that Snoop Dogg will take part in a pre match fan display before kick off, adding to the occasion and underlining the club’s push to connect entertainment, culture, and football. In addition to matchday duties, he is also expected to spend time visiting parts of the local community, meeting supporters and gaining a closer understanding of the city and region he now represents as an owner.

The 54 year old is currently in Europe as part of his role with Team USA at the Winter Olympics in Italy, which conclude just two days before the Swansea fixture. His schedule has allowed him to align that trip with his first official visit to south Wales, turning the Preston game into a landmark event for the club.

Snoop Dogg joined the ownership group shortly after Real Madrid legend Luka Modric also became involved as a co owner, strengthening Swansea’s profile beyond traditional football circles. The investment group expanded further in December with the addition of American billionaire and lifestyle entrepreneur Martha Stewart, who is a long time friend of Snoop Dogg.

The rapper has been open about his ambitions for the club. He has spoken previously about the financial realities of modern football and the need for increased revenue to push Swansea back toward the Premier League. His vision includes attracting new sponsorships, commercial partnerships, and international attention to help transform Swansea into a recognisable global brand.

Snoop Dogg will follow in the footsteps of his son Cordell Broadus, who attended a Swansea match earlier in the season, while the club’s American owners believe celebrity involvement at boardroom level can translate into long term commercial growth. For supporters, the Preston match represents more than just a league fixture. It is another sign that Swansea City are embracing a new identity that blends football tradition with global reach.
