Liverpool and Northern Ireland right-back Conor Bradley has confirmed he has undergone successful knee surgery after sustaining a season-ending injury during last week’s Premier League clash against Arsenal.
The 22-year-old was stretchered off in the second half of the 0-0 draw at the Emirates Stadium following a challenge involving Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli. The incident left Bradley in visible pain and ended his campaign prematurely.
Posting on Instagram, Bradley shared an image of the moment he was taken off the pitch, along with a message of optimism.
“A big blow but surgery is done so the comeback starts now,” he wrote.
“It won’t be for a little while but I already can’t wait to get back playing for Liverpool and Northern Ireland. Thank you for all of the support.”
The injury is another setback for Bradley, who also missed part of the season due to a hamstring issue. The young full-back had impressed during his appearances under manager Arne Slot and was expected to play a growing role in the second half of the campaign.
Liverpool will now continue their push in the Premier League and other competitions without the promising defender, as Bradley begins a lengthy rehabilitation process.
Arsenal’s Martinelli reportedly reached out to offer an apology following the challenge, which was seen as unintentional but unfortunate.
Bradley’s determination to return has been welcomed by fans and club officials alike, as both Liverpool and Northern Ireland will be hoping for a full recovery ahead of the 2026–27 season.
